Sarri: “This is what I think of Chelsea’s 2-1 loss to Wolves”

Maurizio Sarri believes that when his Chelsea side conceded
then they became a different team, following the Blues’ 2-1
defeat away at Wolves this evening.
It took 18 minutes for Chelsea to take the lead, with Ruben
Loftus-Cheek trying his luck with a shot from outside the
penalty area, which Conor Coady headed into the Wolves
net.
But the hosts fought their way back into the game and got
their reward just before the hour mark when Morgan Gibbs-
White found Raul Jimenez. The striker fired his effort past
Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa from a tight angle to make it 1-1.
Wolves then turned the match on its head by scoring a
second just four minutes later, with a low cross from Matt
Doherty being tapped in at the back post by Diogo Jota.
It finished 2-1 to the hosts and Sarri was quick to admit after
the match that for some reason his side changed when they
conceded.
And the Italian tactician is unsure why Chelsea wilted.
Sarri told his post-match press conference: “I think that we
played very well for 55 minutes.
“After the goal, it was an accident because we were in full
control of the match.
“We were suddenly a different team, I don’t know why.
“I am really very worried, not for the result but for the fact
we didn’t respond to the first goal”, the Chelsea boss added.
Chelsea need to now pick themselves up for a weekend
clash against Manchester City at Stamford Bridge.
